I joined crown dental as I wanted to get 2 implants. However, I needed to have fake bone put into my gum due to a previous trauma to ensure the implants would work. The implant operation was very sore and my face was swollen for days after. This did not bother me so much; the treatment that followed did. When it was time to place the veneers they would not stay on the implants and they would fall out. This happened more times than I could count. To solve the problem I would have to go back to crown dental to get the crowns put back in, sometimes with the use of a malet! The veneers I was given were too big for my mouth, didn't look the same as my other teeth and were longer. My dentist Dr Vikram Kavi changed the veneers several times for free but none of them worked. I thought at the time that this was due to my fake bone operation but this was not the case. After spending roughly 7000 pounds at this dentist I decided enough was enough. I changed to another dentist who placed new veneers perfectly and I never had issues with them falling out again. My new dentist could not believe how my implants were placed in my gum as they were not even straight and were the worst job they had ever seen. I certainly do not recommend this dentist.

My dentist, Hugh Gillies, has taken care of myself and my older brother since we were both very little. I have always felt at ease and comfortable around him. Since leaving Holburn Dental, I had registered with another dentist. After going to Mr Gillies for many many years, I have found no dentist surgery as good and as friendly and inviting as Crown Dental Care. I refused to go back to my previous dentist and re-registered for Mr Gillies. Highly recommend if you want good service and friendly staff!

Me and my wife have been members of the practice for just over 2 years. The only reason we were members is our dentist Dr Robinson and the hygienist, they were both awesome! A year after we joined our dentist left due to a relocation to Glasgow. We were assigned to a new dentist - Dr Coster. From that moment on all went down hill. We had to wait 3 months in the Q to see him. I had a crown that needed replacement and repositioning. He kept investigating for 8 months with no conclusive decision each meeting. Million of options and nothing concrete. Now after I left the practice and seen a real dentist, it turned out that the bone was eaten by a bacteria and I had to do gum disease treatment as well. But he had no clue. For the same period of time my wife was complaining about 4 of her teeth after pregnancy. My wife had 4 fillings to do. He kept telling her the cavities were too small and he wouldnt want to touch it even though she said it was painful and eating or drinking was unbearable. We are not dentists, just patients, how would we know? Eventually, We decided to have a second opinion and went to another dentist to find out that the cavities are too deep now and luckily we came on time. Same for my crown that was causing the neighboring tooth to shift. Very disappointed, We were not members on NHS but were there privately. No matter how many complaints I made to the higher management, I was faced with further and further delays and back to the dentist whos treatment was clearly unsatisfactory, Wouldnt recommend!

Really poor service considering I went privately. Dentist was willing to take out a complicated wisdom tooth under local anethetic, felt I was given very poor advice. I paid for sedation and still found it extremely painful during. My procedure did not go smoothly, I called seeking advice a few days later and was told someone would call me back - I got no phone call. I then got an infection and was told when I went to hospital that this type of infection was very common with complicated wisdom tooth removals. I found it infuriating that I was not offered a follow up appointment given how common these infections are. In total I paid 80 for a consultation and 365 for one wisdom tooth out and sedation. I got no aftercare, no phone call and an infection. DO NOT GO!!
