To walk the ground in what is the oldest church in Aberdeen is truly amazing and makes this Cathedral well worth a visit. The surrounding area alone makes it a lovely place to see with the streets of Old Aberdeen to one side and Seaton Park on the others its got a lot to offer. The Cathedral is spectacular inside and the day we visited a lovely volunteer guide gave us some fantastic history on the building, its breathtaking ceiling and stained glass windows that have an incredible level of detail. There is even a small gift shop. Parking is available at the door but as a tip, park in Seaton Park and walk up. You get a real sense of the scale of the cathedral that way.
