Bank of Scotland

Dont understand the point of this branch. Cant transfer money, pay into my account. Seems I can only withdraw. BoS has just declared it is closing branches, one of which is a busy branch at 201 Union Street, Aberdeen, yet they are keeping this useless branch open in Cults. If this stays, then at least offer the same useful customer services to your clients as were offered at the Union Street branch.

Racist bank teller wont let me open a bank account without the original letter from university. But he did ask me to try other branches of the same bank in the city. I dont understand how the rules of a banking institution defers from one branch to another. Since it was a pandemic period, I took the printed the pdf attachment of the email. I thought that was actually the rule and checked with the admin person in my uni and they said all the students have opened their account the same way. Went bank to the bank and spoke to a different employee (a nice lady) who said an email wouldve sufficed and that original wasnt needed.
