Just back from a 2 night stay here - the cottage itself is absolutely stunning and perfectly located for exploring the Ards Peninsula. Lots of extra little touches made this a thoroughly enjoyable stay and Wendy was always on hand for anything we needed and for recommendations. My dog was able to come along and had plenty of space to run around in. Would very highly recommend!

Horseshoe Cottage is a tastefully converted former stable located on a rural family farm near Greyabbey on the beautiful Ards Peninsula. Overlooking the shores of Strangford Lough it provided us with the perfect location for relaxation and tranquil walks along rural laneways and coastal paths by the Lough or "Strange Waters" as the early Viking settlers called it. Wendy was a superb and welcoming hostess who provided us with a depth of knowledge and insight into the history and culture of the locality. The charming cottage has been respectfully created complete with a wood burning stove and generous pile of logs, cottage dresser and very comfortable super king size bed. We loved the ambience of Horseshoe cottage which was decorated by many artefacts from a bygone age including the horseshoes from the former stable. Looking forward to visiting it again and would highly recommend it.
