When other Dental practices were turning us away after the pandemic, M.A. Irwin were willing to help. I was very grateful to book reliable slots for my two sons.
The staff have also helped immensely in referring my 13 year old son for orthodontic treatment. If he hadn't been reviewed when M.A. Irwin took us on as clients, I fear that my sons would still be without this much-needed branch of our health service that I fear we have all taken for granted, for far too long.

Edit in response to the reply, appreciate the shortage of nhs dentists but my comment wasn't the fact the surgery is now only providing private dental service it is the fact that no one thought to inform us as patients that it was changing and not even offering nhs treatment to children, had I not called I would have still been thinking my children were registered, common courtesy would have been to inform all of the patients registered.

Having written an email to document my dissapointment at a 80 (yes 80!!) charge for missing an appointment, I recieved a call from the 'practice manager' who wanted to know what my email was 'all about'.
Before I had the chance to respond, I was subjected to a tirade of abuse which involved being called a 'child', a 'brat' and patronised because I now 'no longer a dentist'. The 'practice manager' then hung up the phone.
I have genuinely never been spoken to in such a manner and was completely shaken for a couple of hours after.
I would implore anyone to do their own research on this practice - the Google reviews do not document this as an isolated incident.
Thankfully this 'child' is an adult with kids of his own. I can only imagine how an actual child or even worse an elderly patient would feel after this experience.
