I went here yesterday for a 2 hour ride and had the best time. The most fun I've had on a horse in years. I rode the lovely Laurie who was very sweet and steady. John showed me some groundwork techniques before letting me on, which was great as I got to get to know her a little bit which made me more comfortable. Then we had a short lesson where I worked on steering and halting and turning to ensure that I was able for the trail. The trail itself was great and varied. It's really obvious that John loves his horses and they are clearly trained with patience and kindness. He is a very patient and easy going instructor too. Highly recommend a trip here and I'll definitely be back soon!

Fantastic day with John , he was absolutely amazing with kids and taught them so much about riding and controlling the horses. A must do for a great experience for everyone. The horses were so patient and well looked after. Will definitely be booking another day out at Laneway Lodge. Some great memories made.

Very sweet horses and john is a nice and friendly person. I asked for a 3 hour trail ride when booking and asked what was included. We were told a 10 minute introduction to natural horsemanship and a couple of obstacles before getting on the trail. This would have beed fair enough and i thought the actual ride would be about 2 hours. Well i was in for a big disappointment. After a very long introduction of probably 1.5 hours and another long chat over a cup of tea we spent maybe 50 min on the trail. Im not really impressed.
