Bed was comfy location is great but other than that at 140 for me on my own with no breakfast its a very expensive night, there is no reception so your dependent on certain staff members from the bar next door, I was with two other couples who had issues with their showers and as its on the main road and has single glazing so the noise from the boy racers can annoy you if your hoping for an early night. If Im ever in Newcastle for another overnight Ill look elsewhere. Rooms: They are old and not boutique, there is a difference its like mutton dressed as lamb

Very expensive room 160 pounds for 2 with no breakfast, mold in the bathroom shower stall and walls, towel heater radiator was not working and was leaking water onto the floor, the bathroom was freezing cold with a wind blowing in the closed windows, the bedroom was very hot with wood smoke coming in the window, the bedroom was dark drab and like a prison cell. Rooms: The room No 2 is like a prison cell. Not worth the money paid.

I've rated the service so low as we didn't really have any service, it's not that it was bad, but essentially non existent. Got the keys from the bar and left in a box at the door upon exit! Room was clean and warm. Seriously need to upgrade their windows. We were on the second floor in room 7, facing the Mournes and donard car park. People in cars were beeping their horns, flashing their lights and revving their insanely loud engines until all hours, which wasn't ideal with a 1yr old with us. Not much sleep was had. Seems like a lot of money for what is simply a room with no breakfast or any sort of service.
