Before I begin, I would like to point out the staff were really nice and that's why the company is getting two stars. After winning a free photo shoot with this company through facebook, I thought that's fantastic. I was looking forward to it. When I called up to claim and book, they asked for a 50 deposit, which I found underhanded and sly, I also didn't have it at the time, so I couldn't book until I did. I almost didn't book at all. When we arrived at the studio it was a studio with lots of pictures on the walls. I did notice they all looked very similar. During the shoot we went through the same staged positions as the ones on the wall. To the point that the children posed in their own way with huge smiles and the photographer changed their position and their smiles disappeared. After the shoot, they handed me a booklet with the detail of prices and what frames and styles were on offer. I nearly had a heart attack. The lowest price was 75 (which was a 5x7 desk portrait and you get free with the prize), and for others, over 3000. I had just put my children through the robot experience for nothing. We were contacted a week or so later to see the photos. They put them in some sort of movie montage, it was so tacky. Each photo had something wrong and the awful poses that were so unnatural made my kids make that fake smile that doesn't reach their eyes. So we found one picture of us that was ok for the free one. The free one could be upgraded to a larger size costing 125 (using 75 prize money towards it) as we had already paid the 50 deposit we thought why not they have the money anyway(we fell for the scam). This is where my disappointment really comes onto effect. The picture we chose was OK. The frame, on the other hand, was not worth the extra 50 let alone 125, it was something I could get from the range or b&m without glass. There was also a funny effect on photo like plastic with bumps, it gives an awful effect on the picture. To fix this, I thought I would get a better frame, a more expensive looking one. I took the picture out of the frame and see its been glued to a backing and the terrible plastic. So now I'm stuck with a 5 framed picture that you can't see properly that I actually paid 50 for.
