Asked for a seat cushion and cover on a focus ST to be changed. Small job right? 1st trip - sorry you have to book in before we'll look at it. Didn't have 30 seconds for me. 2nd trip - after booking it in, sorry you'll have to leave car with us, we can't look at it while you wait. 3rd trip - sorry we can't see the minor damage (hence why I wanted to show you on the 1st trip as I knew you weren't listening). 4th trip - left car in once part arrived. 5th trip - came back for the car - we forgot to order a cushion, we only ordered the cover. Right okay. 6th trip - oops, we forgot to order the heating element. 7th trip - leave it with us now we've all the parts after 3 attempts ordering. 8th trip - here you go sir - Couldn't face looking at it there and then as I knew it would be botched. Took one look at it when home and went 'seriously.....'. Fitting of the cushion and cover demonstrated total incompetence. It's not exactly on the difficulty scale of rebuilding an engine. Issues with fitting: - cushion not pushed back (sitting too far forward two inches and I could see the yellow foam, looked ridiculous). - clips at front rammed into holes and pushed material in with it, ripped the material. No care whatsoever taken. - side clips not in place so material hanging loose. About 6 of these had to be clipped in by me. - captive bolt snapped out of it's plastic underneath and a replacement bolt of the wrong size rammed in, freely spinning. This bit really annoyed me as they damaged the new part I paid for and hoped I wouldn't notice. I had to drill a hole into the plastic and use epoxy to keep the bolt in place. Those 2 bolts ensure the the leg rest slides forward smoothly, which it didn't. - leather wrinkled as the clip at the back is flapping about loose, so the leather is not pulled tight over the cushion. I have still to fix this. I am still finding things they did wrong, but am almost there with it. I feel like I have fitted it myself! I appreciate it's only a seat cover, but it was in better shape before I left it in. Ford customer services gave me 150, but it should have been a full 400 refund or the job redone. And that doesn't include fuel for the 8 trips. I hate leaving bad reviews online with my name against them but this was too much.

DontTrustFord A 3 week old car was left into TrustFord Knockmore for 3 months to have damage on the front repaired. Nearly 1 year later, there are still on going issues and others reluctantly rectified. First issue, the body shop manager had multiple opportunities to inform me that he had reversed the car into a pillar. So, on the day it happened, multiple days leading up to the return of the car, and the actual day I met him in person picking it up. Instead tried to cover it up with a poor blow in repair job. See 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5. This caused unknown damage to the rear of the car. Event was not documented and as mentioned not even communicated with myself. It became evident upon the first valet of the car. Deceit at its finest and finally owned up when asked about respray on the rear of the car, no damage to this area when initially left in. Second issue, the general repair at the front end, original damaged then repaired area was amateur in terms of the final finish, buffer trails, poor finishing technique etc, multiple issues rectified, eventually. 2.1 and 2.2 for an idea of poor workmanship. Third issue, the 2 front door windows were damaged, 100s of hairline scores on the glass. Lexus state never to use metallic objects or abrasive cleaners on the 2 front door pieces of glass. Reason being, a hydrophobic coating/film has been applied in the factory. Body shop manager was asked what the cleaning technique for overspray was, his response was using wire wool or a blade to remove overspray. Ok on normal glass, not specialised glass. His response when questioned the next day, "ack wire wool isn't even metal". Oh dear. Fourth issue, which has not yet been corresponded with the repair shop, was damage to the passenger dash board, 3.1 and 3.2. Reason why it is being communicated here now is the sheer lack of regard and professionalism from this company and I believe the customer should have a full scope of the complete shambles Knockmore TrustFord body shop is. I'm not an expert but to date if I was to rectify all these issues it would be approaching 3,000 - 4,000. Have yet to even receive an offer to replace the 2 damaged front windows.

Took my ST focus in to get repaired through insurance and I must say the body work repair was good, looked like it just came off the factory floor, they even done extra work for me which I paid for and even washed it for me, no complaints there. However when I picked it up that day driving home the wheel arch liners werent secured properly and came out and tore out the rear fog lights and destroyed the mud flaps, they to their credit took responsibility and fixed it. The part did take 2 weeks to come but I cant hold that against them. When I took it in the second time I did ask them to check the other wheel arch to see if that was loose too, but clearly they didnt or didnt do it too well, because I did noticed the side they didnt work at was loose and when I went to fix it myself I found out that they didnt return my locking nut for the wheels either. I then fixed the issue myself when I had to go to them again to collect it. Overall the body work was perfect but it was the extra small things, that let them down. All the extra trips cost me in time taking off work and nothing was offered to me by way of an apology. I was considering coming to them for all servicing and any other things that go wrong but I wont be.
