Holywood Flooring

We procured and had installed by Holywood Flooring an Amtico floor. However, it was game of 2 halves for us and we were left feeling a little disappointed at the end of it. We got to the stage where we just wanted our interactions with Holywood Flooring to be over and move on and that means our floor isn't perfect. And we have accepted that and moved on. A great sales experience. Lots of promises of quality being the prime focus to support Amtico installation. The importance of the sub-floor preparation and how much time and attention would be given to getting that right because it was integral to putting Amtico down right. It sounded great! However, the installation experience just let the whole process down. Unfortunately we had to deal with the very thing everyone hates with home improvement businesses, contractors and tradesman: an ever changing story, with inconsistencies in what we were being told from one day to the next. It get frustrating when the office are telling you one thing and the sub-contractor is telling you another. Whilst our floor is installed, and the quality of the Amtico product cannot be questioned, it is clear our sub-floor is not prepped enough. Under bare foot, and observing the floor from a lower level with eyes, it's clear to see our sub-floor is anything but flat, and unfortunately the Amtico tile just accentuates that - so thin is the Amtico product that it perfectly follows any imperfections or contours in the sub-floor. The very thing we were told in the sales pitch around why Sub-Floor prep was so key to installing Amtico and getting it right. However, the expectation that was set in the sales pitch was just not followed through and delivered - which is such a shame. It took 3 attempts for the fitter to stick areas of our floor down properly, causing the need for revisits; something a recent assessment by a third party qualified Amtico installer told us is down the to the sub-floor prep as well. A big positive for Holywood Flooring is in their Manager, Sarah, who did her best to work with us and hear out our concerns, also promising to revisit if the floor ever needed re-sticking. Thank you for listening to us Sarah and dealing with our complaint. Whilst the Amtico tile is a great product, we unfortunately did feel let down by the installation process from Holywood Flooring. Fantastic prices and great quality flooring!!! Friendly and very helpful. Had beautiful carpet fitted best quality ever fitted to perfection the wee carpet fitter was so pleasant and cleaned away afterwards Noel just done amazing job will definately be ordering in the future.

Owners very friendly and helpful. Had a wide collection and variety of colours in fabrics for the carpet I wanted for my bedroom. The gentlemen came and put it down as well. Quickly and professionally done. Thankyou
