I own an ageing Ford Focus approaching 2 x decades. Unfortunately when Ford built them, in order to save some dolphins, they used 'lead free' solder to build the instrument cluster. This was fine, for a while, but as they aged, the solder dries out, causing numerous electrical gremlins, to the point that my car wouldn't even start! There is a whole industry built up now repairing these darn clusters, but I wasn't keen on shipping such a critical component over to the mainland, too many opportunities in it getting lost. So on a 'Google' search, I discovered Hobsons carry out this kind of repair. By sheer coincidence I had used them years ago to repair a head unit in a previous car, so I trusted them. Shipped the cluster to them, and got it quickly returned back to me, Fitted it back into the car and the old girl fired up 1st twist of the key! Quality repair, have no hesitation recommending them...
