Very professional service. I was seen at short notice and made feel welcome. Following Garys advice has without doubt helped my eye recover quicker. This is the service local communitys need. Will definitely be recommending.

I have been going to Gary Scott for approximately 25 years and have found the service to be excellent. There was a brief period when I lived in London where I used another large chain opticians service and it was horrendous compared to the personalised and professional approach I receive from Gary Scott.

I've needed glasses since I was 6 years old - for 50 years. My sight deteriorates a little each year and I now need varifocal lenses. I used a major high street optician and the glasses were OK. A year or so later my prescription was updated but left and right lenses were switched. I decided my eyesight was too important to me to go to another bulk optician. Scott's was recommended by word of mouth - several of my family went there. So I went. The eye examination was meticulous and took longer than I was used to. When I picked up my new glasses and put them on, I told my fiance that I felt like I'd been given new eyes! She drove to Downpatrick - I drove home! I thought Scott's would be a lot more costly and I was happy to pay more for a better service. I got a much better service at no extra cost. The only negative I can say is location - it's a 20+ mile drive from Belfast to Downpatrick. I'm happy to do that once a year to know I've got a professional service tailored to me. If you get your specs off the shelf at Tesco's Scott's is not for you. For me, I'll be driving to Downpatrick for my glasses. I need to see clearly!

I recently visited Gary Scott Opticians and after over 13 years of wearing glasses and contacts, Gary is the first optician who took the time to show me how to put my contacts in properly. Gary was professional and friendly while explaining the different procedures and recommended different contacts that would be better suited to my eyes in the long run. I really appreciated the time he took to answer all of my questions and help me pick out new glasses that compliment my face shape. I cannot recommend Gary Scott Opticians highly enough!
