I have used this place twice now, no complaints. The staff are great and my boys are always bathed before being handed back...which is something a lot of kennels I have used before do not do.

Really great place for the dog. Luka loved it and even got a bath and grooming before we picked him up. Highly recommend and we will be using again!

We left Cookie with Brookvale for 4 weeks. First time for him and us, so I was very apprehensive. But. I got such a surprise when I collected him. He looked fantastic, had been given a bath and was in brilliant form. And.. being a chocolate lab, I expected him to have put weight on, he hasnt. Hes in great health and happy. I would absolutely recommend Brookvale.

NOT RECOMMENDED I boarded my two dogs, a Cocker Spaniel and a Springer Spaniel here for one week in September. When I got them home I discovered that one of the dogs, the Springer, had pressure sores on his front elbows and one of his ankles. On contacting the owner I was basically told that it was the dogs fault due to its inactivity i.e. it was always lying in its bed! Apparently they've never seen dogs like mine before as they didn't pace around their enclosure and were always lying down. My dogs are content individuals. In their down time they switch off, don't most dogs sleep up to 14 hours a day? If they're stimulated, walked and interacted with, they'll be as active as any other dog, particularly the Springer. Mine have been in other kennels numerous times with never a problem. Their bedding in Brookvale apparently consisted of a plastic bed and a blanket, somewhat basic. My Springer has severe arthritis in both front legs and had surgery previously on a back leg. I would have expected some cushioning for his bed, especially as Id informed the kennels of his condition prior to his arrival. The exercise yard, I'm told, is concrete and the dogs can roam in it. And do what? I feel on this occasion my dogs were somewhat neglected, left alone and didn't receive the "playtime, attention, and individual country walks" that were promised. I'm very disappointed in this facility and the poor quality of care given to my dogs. It seems no one even noticed my Springer had pressure sores, despite the fact that he and my Cocker were bathed prior to me collecting them.
