After reading the reviews for Platinum Preservation NI, I had no hesitation in contacting them for a quote. Frank came when he said he would, checked it all out, gave me a price and started the following Monday. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they were punctual, meticulous, tidy and very helpful. Frank kept me up to date the whole way through the process of stripping back walls in the house, to digging a "trench" round the house. They brought their own tea, and only took a break at lunchtime. I contacted Platinum Preservation NI after receiving their contact from a friend. I have been having health issues since I moved in the new house 1.5 years ago (severe skin rushes, itchy and watery eyes, dizziness, tiredness, fever, cough and even a lungs infection at the very end). I was afraid that all these symptoms were caused by some mold in the house but there was nothing visible on the walls etc. Frank did a very thorough survey taking the time to look at all possible issues throughout the house. He checked level of humidity in the wardrobes and in the rooms/ walls of the house explaining to me step by step what he was measuring with his tools. He pointed out that the house didn't have extractor fans, and also a leak in the shower that I didn't notice until then. Frank, based on his experience, was able to go immediately at the core of the problem and he found high level of condensation under the bathroom floor which means high risk of mold. Thanks to Frank I discovered that under all the bathroom floor it was full of the most toxic black mold that you can find indoors which was literally making me very sick and I had to leave immediately. Frank is still working on it with my Landlord keeping me updated on the progress. I cannot thank you enough Frank for all your help! Highly recommended.

We chose Platinum for damp proofing and woodworm treatment after reading the glowing reviews and we were not disappointed. Platinum conducted a thorough survey and explained the problems to us very clearly. Communication with Frank was excellent, he was in touch with us daily, sending pictures of the source of the damp problems. Frank was pragmatic and didn't conduct unnecessary work, ensuring that costs did not creep up. Frank and his team went above and beyond, giving us general advise about our rennovations. Frank was very respectful and contacted our neighbours about various disruptions to water supply etc while the work was being conducted. He even helped a neighbour repair their bike!! When the work was completed under budget, Frank returned unspent cash saved from materials. The team left the house immaculate and brushed up outside the house once the skip was removed. The whole team clearly take pride in their work. They really are the dream team

After months of getting different answers and expensive quotes of thousands of pounds from other companies I contacted Plantinum Preservation NI and spoke to Frank. When I told Frank that due to my health issues I was worried sick about the damp patches in my living room he arranged to call out the very next morning. Frank carried out a survey spending time checking everything. Frank then explained that the damp was due to condensation, he told me what the solution was and give me guidelines on what to do and how to prevent the condensation. A proper survey with honest answers resulting in no work needed. Frank is brilliant and I highly recommend him. Thank you Frank for your honesty and for everything, you're a gentleman.

I had a building survey done on a house purchase which showed some damp and suggested remedy work. My intention was to gather quotes for the work needing done. Frank was the only person out of several Damp specialists who told me the work suggested by the surveyor likely was not needed and more investigation was required first. Other companies simply agreed to drill/ chip and dig into a wall and floor without question. Frank attended and examined the suspect area and has given me advice for monitoring and care with no intervention needed currently. Cant rate him highly enough. Based on his telephone advice I was willing to wait for his availability and opinion and Im so glad I did. I am reassured and have avoided some unnecessary work (the problem and remedy may actually be something else anyway) which would have been easy money for him but he did the job right not for gain. A pleasure to deal with a reliable, professional and honest tradesman who is a knowledgable about his area of expertise. Would use again no question.
