We stayed in the caravan park for 3 nights at the end of June '22. Pitches aren't the longest but we just managed to get the motorhome on. Beautiful countryside location, surrounded by fields, with a residential Peacock and assortment of other birds, including a rooster (whose crowing woke us early each morning). The grounds were well-maintained and grass areas neat & tidy. I don't believe ball games are allowed in the vicinity of the caravans/motorhomes but that didn't deter the little boy and his father who were parked up next to us. They were playing with a hurley bat & ball between our vans. We were on the edge of our seats in case the ball hit our motorhome. Luckily, we managed to escape this fate but the poor French couple across from us weren't so lucky when the boy launched his hurley bat at a nearby tree and the bat bounced off the side of their motorhome. The van owner came outside to investigate the source of the loud bang and found the boy with his (now retrieved) bat. I was gobsmacked when the child's father didn't even apologise! This may have been an isolated and rare incident but I didn't see a Warden or anyone else patrol or check the park at any point during our stay. I have the need to use a "disabled" shower and availed of it on the first morning. The cleaners had cleaned the showers around an hour before I used the disabled toilet & shower but it was difficult to find anything they'd cleaned. The floor was filthy and the whole room was generally grubby. I didn't use it again. All in all, I found the caravan park to be just above average. It really could do with a Warden / supervisor to keep an eye on the caravan park, a deep clean of the disabled toilet & shower and someone to routinely check on cleanliness. Having said that, it's in a lovely peaceful location and the grounds are well kept.
