Footfalls Walking (Philip) arranged a perfect one-day trek for my family and me in the Mourne Mountains - about an hour south of Belfast. We arrived in Belfast on a cruise ship at 830am. Philip arranged to have us transported to the trailhead and we began hiking by 10am. It was a 7 mile hike through spectacular mountain scenery. We stopped for lunch in a saddle between the two highest peaks and then we descended from the mountains with beautiful views of the ocean and the town of Newcastle below. We finished with just enough time for a pint of Guinness before being transported back to our ship :-) Our guide, Pauline, was wonderful and had extensive knowledge about the Mourne Mountains and surrounding areas. It was the perfect day! Highly recommended!
