Value Cabs

Absolutely horrendous. Take advance bookings they can't fulfill. And for very important family and personal occasions which I have now missed. Staff on phone have a narrative. And admit on the call that they are unreliable.I remember now why I had stopped using them. At least other well known companies tell you they cant take your booking and are honest about it.

Used value cabs a number of times over a 3 night stay in Belfast and found the experience very inconsistent. A couple of times their drivers were very prompt and courteous, fares reasonable, which is why I kept using them. My issue was with the pre-booking of an airport drop off fare yesterday: given a few hours notice for this pick up, no show after several minutes, each time being informed they were searching for a driver and being reassured I was high priority, later to be told that I was fifth on the list 40 minutes after my pick up time. Canceled my taxi at this stage, as my 2 kids were becoming restless and no longer felt confident in Value cab's reliability. Many roads were closed in the city centre due to a marathon, however it didn't stop our uber driver from collecting us within 5 minutes and completing the drop off within 10 minutes. I would suggest using uber in Belfast generally. N.B. one Value cabs driver refused card payment as he was complaining he incurred an admin fee per fare and so insisted on cash. The other two drivers were fine with card payment. Worth checking whether they accept card before you get in. He was also unhelpful when asking to stop off at an ATM.

Girl on own in middle of belfast. For an hour. Not safe. Was assigned and then unassigned a driver. Phoned humans x2 both had no idea what to do. flip value cabs.

This has to be the best taxi service I have ever used. Free phone points at popular locations. The automated service is easy to use. Amazing

Avoid!! Unfortunately Value Cabs no longer have the capacity to honour bookings. After booking well in advance we were left stranded yet again. Terrible communication system.
