        Absolutely shocking to say the least I came from Dublin to a dog friendly hotel to be told we could not sit in the bar with a miniature dog but had to sit in the lobby it was 9pm 3 people in the bar why would anybody refuse to allow a small pet in an pet friendly hotel without making a clear statement before booking I explained my situation and was simply refused by bar manager even though foh tried to help ..never again

        The hotel is lovely. Thats why we were surprised the Chez Mal experience was so atrociouswe ordered two steaks, two cocktails, and an appetizer. The appetizer never came (with no explanation), the steaks were terribly over cooked (my partner ordered his rare, but it came as medium), and the service was nearly non-existent. We also did not order sauce with our steaks, but yet were charged for sauces with each. Would absolutely not be returning to the restaurant as there are so many great restaurants in Belfast with great service. Wed gladly stay at the hotel again any time though.
