The Shed Studio

Participated in a voiceover session in October 2017 with Brain & Nerd at the Red Apple Shed. The equipment on hand is excellent and they keep not only up to date with some great technology from the likes of Apple, Yamaha, Sontronics and Korg but they also have a selection of older equipment to provide different types and textures of sound. Whether you're recording vocals in their soundproofed booth or recording music, the Shed pretty much has you covered.

I have been in here on a few recording sessions as a photographer, and I can say that the facilities are cozy and welcoming. The equipment is well looked after and maintained with a variety of old and new keyboards, synthesizers, microphones and so on available. The Vocal Booth is roomy enough for 4 or 5 people if needed, well sound proofed, has good lighting and a window out to the Studio itself. The Live Room is large enough for most instrument or group needs, is also well sound proofed, and again has a large window to let you see into the studio. There is a smaller space upstairs for doing some editing and has enough room for a good number of people to help with the process if needed. Directly outside the studio there is parking available which is a big bonus if you are going to be in and working for a number of hours. Nearby there are several shops and fast food outlets if you get hungry and need to take a break. I can say I thoroughly enjoyed getting in here and taking photos for Brain & Nerd while doing voice over work for their game. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and were always willing to help out as best as possible where possible. To sum things up, I would give the Shed Studio 10 stars if I could but I can only give 5/5 here. Well worth checking out for all your recording needs! If I can add any photos at a later date I will.
