Gordons Chemists, Castlereagh Road

Being a type 1 diabetic for 22 years I am sometimes prone to leaving my insulin at home and not having access to live saving medication. I rang this Gordons branch this morning and explained that on this particular occasion I had left my insulin at home and was at work in the Belfast area, explained the nature of my condition and asked if I could get an emergency supply of my insulin pens. I was met with complete and utter ignorance from the get go. The woman, who unfortunately I did not get the name of, who I spoke to on the phone had a terrible attitude, was rude and snappy. Ive been a customer of Gordons chemists for years and on any occasion I have always been met with people who are more than willing to help any time I need it. Sadly on this occasion I can not say that I felt like there was any care there. She told me that I needed to speak to my doctor and that an emergency script was only for real emergencies I then reiterated that I am a type 1 diabetic and need insulin which would constitute this as an emergency. Im very disappointed in the service I received on the phone. I wont be using this particular Gordons branch in the future.
