Cregagh Nursing Home

My Dad went to Cregagh Nursing home for respite care after being discharged from hospital. Initially I was concerned because of some previous reviews. However my Dads time here has proved times must have changed at Cregagh. The staff are all very welcoming and they create a very pleasant environment for the residents. The atmosphere in the home is relaxed, yet professional. Dad is quite a fussy eater but he enjoyed the food. His room was warm, clean and spacious. Dads physical recovery has been continual from his arrival here and now hes ready to come home.

Aunt was placed here after hospital. However she died within days. The staff carried our cpr despite there being a dnr in place. The sudden death was then not dealt with and staff calling family in the night to come and take the body!! To the point the police who later attended at request of family stated the home dont know what they are doing. Disgusting place and staff who don't know what rhey are doing. And their attitudes... enough said. The matter and behaviour and lack of following correct processes is followed by with a formal complaint to RQIA. Not even worth 1 star. But no choice. Help yourself and do not allow your lobed ones to be placed here.
