This place was created out of a river, Conn's Brook, which was packed with all kinds of birds, flora, animals, they filled in the river, redirected it, there's no space now for nature, the river goes on to Victoria Park, a lovely little hidden area in a busy city, there's a lake in it but a large part of it was filled in to widen Sydenham Bypass, thankfully there's a nature reserve at the east end and birds of all sorts can be found, where the river leaves the square I saw an egret yesterday, but I was the only person who noticed it,

Great spot for a coffee and excellent gluten free options (mostly tray bakes).

Friendly, pleasant staff even when exceptionally busy. Good coffee and very tasty Portuguese tarts. Interior and exterior seating, with toilets on site. Definitely recommended if you are visiting East Belfast.
