Came here with a few tangos to pump ronald. Have to say some superbio equipment and hidey hodeylie friendly staff. However Ive just been informed that Everlast will Neverlast and will not stay open. This is heartbreaking news, a tradegy for the local buff building community.

The announcement came today that Everlast Boucher is to permanently close and I wasnt surprised at all. I have been a member for many years. Back in the old DW days it was the number 1 gym serving south/west Belfast but standards slipped massively over the last couple of years. Equipment was regularly broken for extended periods. I cant remember the last time that both jacuzzis, the steam room and the pool were all in working order at the same time for more than a couple of weeks, which suggests that things just werent being maintained properly. The changing rooms, showers and poolside area used to be spotless but havent been cleaned anywhere near well or often enough for a long time. The showers are always covered with hairs and discarded plasters which put me off wanting to visit before work. Only about 20% of lockers are now actually working and available to use. Toilets and showers also permanently stink. The changing/shower/toilet facilities needed a complete makeover years ago. Staff were generally sound but it had become quite cliquey over the years. The class offering was worse after Everlast took over and is now minimal. Everything has become tired and worn looking. Dirty walls and mirrors and random patches of unpainted plaster all over the place, and holes and cables where TVs used to be. It failed to move with the times and the competition now have a much more innovative and complete offering. It never recovered from lockdown closures and the gap between DW pulling out and Everlast taking over. I stuck with it when really I knew I should have left a long time ago but even after more than a decade Im not sad to see it close.

I'm a member of this gym for over 7years. It is due a makeover as it was last done when it was DW. There is a good choice of equipment. There is a swimming pool, a steam room and 2 Jacuzzis. They have water baby classes. There is a choice of spin classes. Good parking.
