Extern Homeless Support Team

been told im getting a call back from a senior for weeks. call every day to get told ill get a call back to no avail. key worker closed my case before even speaking to me and left extern and now im left in a dangerous situation with no where to turn. wouldnt rely on them

Extern: Transforming lives, and Transforming Society. The people who work here have a heart of gold and a thick skin. I'm sure they've seen it all and still want to help. They signpost clients to where they need to be and what the client needs at that time. They help with addictions and Disabilities, Housing & Homeless Housing, Justice Services, Mental Health & Suicide, Minorities, Skills & jobs, Young people and Families. They do so much for Belfast and get little recognition for it.

If one is lucky one will meet one of the staff with empathy & professionalism. Few & far between these diamonds are magnificent. However if one is unlucky, they'll put one through hell, doing nothing other than eroding ones sense of self worth & ones faith in humanity. Certainly one keyworker on their payroll would be better suited to work as a traffic warden with her belligerent arrogance, vitriolic spite & apparent desire to add stress rather than alleviate it. As dishonest as the year is long, a familiar trait throughout extern "support services" in agencies & hostels. As bad as one's life may get, take heart, one is unlikely to have such a lapse in standards that one behaves as dishonorably scores of extern staff do habitually. Extern is not fit for purpose, rarely do staff abide by code of conduct & certainly they are more likely to be cruel than demonstrate kindness. But what staff lack in integrity they more than make up for in self-righteousness and self-aggrandisement.
