Food was reasonably priced, but there was a surprising lack of choice for Saturday lunch / brunchtime in a bistro. We had the option of one starter portion of chicken wings, or three (perhaps four) hot main meals. It seemed we were offered a limited menu, which compared poorly with meals served to guests at an adjacent table. One of our party was vegetarian; an omelette and a pasta dish were offered. There was a misunderstanding on whether another menu was offered explicitly to us. It wasn't - and I was told the bistro didn't carry bread for sandwiches, for example. On departure, it seemed we could simply have made special requests of the chef as other (perhaps 'regular'?) guests did. This made for an unwelcoming and really quite disappointing experience overall.
