We had a great experience in Made in Belfast pre-pandemic and looked forward to visiting with friends. Unfortunately, our recent visit on a Saturday evening with a group of 4 was incredibly disappointing in terms of service, value and food. On arrival, we asked to order drinks and food together as we were quite hungry, but we were sharply informed that wouldn't be possible which was odd. We then ordered as directed and we waited 30 minutes for starters to arrive. Once the starters - which were fine but nothing special - were cleared, we attempted to get the attention of any of the waiters to order drinks but it was impossible to get their attention. It wasn't a large restaurant so it felt as if we were being ignored by the staff who were on duty. Also, it didn't seem as if there was a lack of staff - which would have been understandable - but that it was badly managed as there were waiters on the floor who avoided our efforts to grab their attention continuously. When the mains arrived, it was very evident that they had been under a heat lamp for a long period of time as the sauces had congealed on the plate. My steak was incredibly tough on the outside but yet very medium on the inside. Another of the party ordered the cauliflower dish and it was very basic for the price of the dish. We would have ordered desert/cocktails after our main but we were waiting 20 minutes for the plates to be cleared after we had finished eating and drinking, so we decided to move on to a bar. We had to ask for the bill twice and eventually we went up to the front desk to settle before leaving. We were very disappointed after such an enjoyable previous visit, and we won't be recommending to friends.

Terrible customer service. So disappointed after being recommended this place, food was ok. Staff made us feel very unwelcome. Strange vibe to this place and would not recommend, couldnt wait too leave!!
