I paid these conmen over 15,000.00 for windows and bi-folds doors. After 7 months they delivered 1 of the 10 windows I originally ordered however it was unfinished. 1 month after that they delivered another window and it too was unfinished. 3 months after that they then told me that my money was gone and my windows didn't exist. As if that wasn't bad enough I had the Director (Gareth George Presley sending me wind-up emails telling me to chill out while he was on holiday with my money. When I ring to enquire about my money Gerry Presley simply tells myself to F Off and is threatening to travel to my house to sort me out. Very professional indeed. They also operate under the guise of GMK JOINERY LTD & ACTIVE SLIDE. It was simply hard to believe the cheek of him. Another of the main players in the company Joe Mc Meekin also jetted off on holiday with his wife Marie Mc Meekin and son Ben Mc Meekin while this was taking place. Its a family business. I often wondered what sick to the stomach meant and now I know. They made me physically sick. The main people I was dealing with were; Gareth George Presley Gerry Presley (Gareth's Dad) Joe McMeekin (Gareth's Step Dad) If you know the value of money and want a quiet life these men and their companies are best avoided.

Activeslide, are a fantastic company to deal with not only do they help you select the appropriate products for your scheme there not pushy in the sales approach. We dealt with Gerry whom we would recommend without hesitation he delivered on what he said he would and I never questioned his professionalism and honesty. We did our research prior to dealing with Gerry and although a negative review was found when asked about this directly face to face, Gerry explained and proved beyond doubt this was a case of a vindictiveness and misrepresentation. Not had a problem with regards to payment, delivery or product. And now placed a second order as the service was great.

DO NOT USE OR TRUST ACTIVE SLIDE. Over the last few months I have been dealing with Gerry to have sliding doors in my open plan kitchen living dining room. The doors were supposed to act like a wall that slid in to one another. From the of set gerry assured me that he capable of doing the job and made me pay 50% which was 1400 up front before starting the job. When the doors were to be fitted I was told that they should take about a day to fit and that the join from the existing wall to the sliding wall would not be seen. 3 men arrived to fit the doors and it took them 3 days to fit. During this time I asked the head joiner how was the join going to be concealed and he said "I don't know why gerry said it will not be seen as we are joiners not magicians and it will always be visible. I called gerry and he again assured me that he was going to use a special filler. On the day of completion the 2 walls that were made from sheets of mdf with no support bowed in the middle which caused the sliding doors to rub against, didn't close properly, which looked awful and unfinished. I called gerry to asked him to look and it and fix them and he said the house is too moist which is causing the walls to bow. This wasn't the case the problem was that the sheets of mdf had no support and were always going to bow. However, gerry said it was his fault for fitting the doors to early and insisted that he would fix the doors. At this stage gerry still hadn't been down to look at the doors and I told him that he needed to come and look at the doors as it was not a moisture issue. He eventually came to look at the doors and agreed that the doors were of an awful quality and told me that I would get my deposit back in at couple of weeks. A couple of weeks passed and I called to chase my deposit back and he said he was trying to get it and leave it another couple of days which I did. I then called again and got the same story and he told me to leave it until the next day. I left it another few days and called him and he then tried to pass the blame back to me that there was too much moisture in the house and I never gave him the chance to fix the doors and that I pretty much wasn't getting my money back! Gerry and his family clearly have money issues and I wish I had have stayed away from him and his doors but I am now left 1400 down and a crack in my house that will always remind me of gerry who is full of false promises and doesn't know what he is doing. STAY AWAY FROM ACTIVE SLIDE!
