They offered price work, let them carry out the work and didnt pay for the final week. He was paid a week in lieu but left the job to be closer to home but never received his final wages. The QS refused to pay an outstanding amount of 700 each to 5 workers, all who paid for accommodation expenses themselves. His reasoning was that they had been paid too much previously and they needed to hire more people to complete work. They had completed the correct amount of work and invoiced at the correct price according the drawings provided by the QS.
A lady named Danielle offered them work in London, promising pre payment of accommodation and travel - then a day before travel told them they would need to pay and claim it with their wages, 14 days later and 600 each later too.
Stay clear - they promise the earth, get you to do the work and then dont pay.
