I left a brand new silk dress in to have the zip replaced with one that was longer in length so the dress was less revealing at the back. While I am happy with how the zip has been inserted, when I picked the dress up, I immediately noticed that it had been soiled. The dress had been handed to me folded over a hanger and when I opened it up on the counter I could see that there were multiple stains that had clearly not been there previously as the dress was unworn and brand new. On top of that, the response of the staff members I spoke to was unsatisfactory. They did not accept any responsibility for the state of the dress, they offered no explanation for how the staining had occurred- or indeed any reduction in the cost of the repairs by way of compensation. I would expect that customer's items entrusted to the Zip Yard to repair would be treated with care - this was not my experience and the staff clearly did not care about the state in which my garment was returned to me. Excellent service, zip fitted to dress perfectly and within time quoted for pick up. Highly recommend.
