Booked The Ireton for 2 nights initially then received a call saying the hotel had to cancel and close due to a positive covid case, so offered Botanic rest for 1 night only as that is all they had, it seems Belfast hotels all booked due to concerts opening up again! Managed to book the second night in Premier Inn which will be tonight, at least you know what to expect. This place is quite run down, nasty carpets lining the hallway, the window in the bedroom does not close so the noise of revellers and barking dogs is too much to bare, never mind the security aspect. The room was ensuite and basic and cleanish which was a bonus, the cost 139.00 for 1 Saturday night, price hiked, its priced at 40 on booking.com for a Sunday, the guy on reception said we should be paying 300.00 really but they have to close down after the 18th.........I wonder why!!!
