Both me and my wife Gwen would like to thank William Murphy and Adrienne Frame, who made an emergency ambulance call to our house recently. Their professionalism, expert knowledge and person to person skills transformed what was initially a distressing incident into a pleasant and instructive experience. The end result was that a trip to the hospital was not needed, and the advice we got not only helped and reassured us, but means we are less likely to need medical assistance in relation to the same problem in the future.

I want to sincerely thank all who helped my aunt Netta during her recent illness. She suffered from pulmonary hypertension and occasionally became very breathless. The service provided by your paramedics was a tremendous help to her and to me her niece Mary as I often felt anxious and distressed in my role as carer. The paramedics were always quick to arrive and provided expert care while making an assessment of her situation. They were compassionate and respectful, going beyond treating the symptoms and making sure to alert a doctor or nurse to provide further care where it was necessary. It was such a relief to see her breathing improve and natural colour return to her face on a number of occasions. No words could repay our debt of gratitude to you. While it may add to your workload I would like everyone in Northern Ireland to know how helpful and good you are, doing your work to the very highest standards, taking away fear, providing healing and comfort whenever possible. I also want to thank the switchboard operators who were always compassionate and supportive, providing reassurance for as long as necessary. Please accept the deep gratitude of our family for the service you provided when we were most in need. Yours sincerely, Mary Clenaghan
