Took the car in as an emergency when the clutch went, managed to fix the clutch after 11 days and I thought all was well. When I got the car back there was a grinding noise when starting the car. I sent a message asking about it as the noise wasn't there before and was told it was likely my exhaust vibrating. Fast forward 5 weeks to my starter motor failing costing me 240. Went to a different mechanic. He asked if I had gotten my clutch changed recently and I was surprised that he could tell. He said that the bolts for the starter motor hadn't been reattached correctly with one missing entirely, this then causing the starter motor to work incorrectly and burn out, he had said this was also most likely the cause of the grinding noise when I got the car back. A correct repair but a faulty reassembly has cost me almost as much as the initial repair.
