Went to Carvery at Tullyglass today which was extremely busy. Food was great however due to the number of people dining and the queues for food myself and my friend were only able to get a starter and main course as we were restricted for time. Asked a waitress if it was possible to get a desert to take with us but was told that they were not allowed to give deserts to take out. Extremely disappointed especially when we paid 25 each for the meal. This is first place that I have known to refuse. After all we had paid for it!

Four of us went here Easter Tuesday as we were out a drive. It's an absolutely stunning place to look at with a gorgeous water fountain and beautiful grounds. A lot of people have their wedding's here and today was no exception it was packed with wedding guests. We went into the carvery, and an oriental girl got us sorted she was an amazing host, and nothing was too much for her. No atmosphere ended off.....I thought the food wasn't as nice as it used to be the cocktail sauages tasted like fairy liquid and the ribs really hard oh and they're still serving you. The main course was a slice of roast beef, a roast potato, it was like a rock. So desserts absolutely gorgeous jam sponge with custard and pavlova

Prior to the arrival and booking of our large party I spoke to someone from the hotel who confirmed that due to dietary needs of one of our party that it would be ok to order from another menu. On arrival we met an older female receptionist who was so rude to begin with and when she was informed about the dietary requirement rolled her eyes and said no she then called what looked like the restaurant manager who I must say was an absolute joy to deal with. My advice is get rid of that receptionist, its obviously not the job for her to deal with the public. Food and service was absolutely fantastic, and the only reason for the 3 stars is the receptionist, thats the only one thing that let the place down.
