Oriel House Residential Care Home

Oriel House is a warm and caring environment on all visit to see my aunt I was made welcome.I was introduced to the new manger who was approachable and staff are friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the information boards for activities available such as Arts and crafts. All the people in the home seemed to be enjoying themselves. Simon

This is a top class residential home, home from home for your loved one, my mum spent over 2 yrs here and they became family until she moved to nursing as her illness progressed, cant fault it at all my mum will miss them all.

A great place for retirement ,the staff are fantastic,the food is gorgeous ,the bedrooms have plenty of room ,plus dinning room and sitting room with TV .

Ok for a week or two respite care for your loved one but definitely not suitable for anything long term. Not all bedrooms are single. Cosy and homely but therefore small with residents having little room to move about, also no gardens. The majority of the staff are lovely and its homely feeling attracted us originally. However one particular staff member did not want to be bothered if residents wanted to do anything other than sit in a chair watching a 22 inch tv with a blanket round them. Despite visiting almost daily at varying times we never witnessed any activities. If your loved one needs a little extra bit of care / assistance / company / entertainment please look elsewhere.
