Oriel Surgery

Here I am after big surgery. Six weeks later wanted to make an appointment with the doctor to see me and assess whether I am healing well and be ready to return to work. Spend on the phone from 8.30 am as they say for half an hour. Finally, at 9 am receptionist answered and refused to make an appointment with me to see the doctor, saying that the day is full and she won't make another appointment for next week or any other day i must call monday morning again, which it leaves me with no hope for getting an appointment on monday morning as either. Since when receptionist decides whether the doctor must see me after surgery or not? As far as i know i have been told from hospital that I need to deal with GP after my discharge from hospital and i need this appointment to to be able to return to work. Again, everyone fights for payrise but theres very little done for patients.

Yet again I want to give a positive review to the reception staff at Oriel Surgery. I need my vaccination history and they had to spend quite a bit of time checking through my archived history (due to my older age). They kept me updated on how they were getting on & when it was retrieved they posted a printed copy of them to me. Thanks for your help
