5th March 2023 My friend and I went for a roast dinner. The meal was delicious until unfortunately I found a stone in my mouth which had come from my food. I told staff and it seemed as though they weren't totally surprised and said they thought it had come from the mash. For clarification the stone was the size of a garden pea. I was offered a replacement meal but I'd already eaten a great deal of my dinner. We were offered a free dessert but decided as we didn't want to eat there after what had happened. I'm not the type to make a fuss in public but the way your staff dealt with this is shabby at best. Safe to say we will not be returning.

We booked a table for 7 for an evening meal. Son has autism so the carvery was good for his limited choice of food, great that Yorkshire puddings are on the help yourself side, he said that the mash was just like homemade which made him happy. I had the hunters chicken which was tasty, it could have done with more barbecue sauce. The chips looked to be triple cooked, I wish places offered normal chips. Gave mine to my husband to eat with his curry, which was good too. Everyone on the table enjoyed their food. Restaurant wasn't busy for a Saturday night, which surprised me with such great food. Waitress didn't know what was in the speciality burgers when we asked and the only choice of wine she gave was red or white. We ate in the restaurant at the back which could do with an update and their air con splashed over my granddaughter so the manager turned it off. All in all a good experience.
