Head and shoulders above all the other practice management systems out there and in my 35 years of being an "early adopter" optometrist I have tried many, starting with an Olivetti 286 PC in the 80's and a pretty basic ms.dos package from their competitors! I have used Optix since founding my latest practice in 2007. The reason for Optix's success is partly because: this organisation is led from the top by an exceeding capable MD who is very involved with his organisation at all levels and (it appears) at all times. It is very rare to see such involvement and it has been hugely appreciated by us users, particularly during this pandemic. Using Optix with all the the various bolt-on's (like their excellent VOIP which makes working from home easier), has made working through this Covid period much more manageable and indeed bearable. Being part of the Optix family, you feel cared for and supported, and on that point: each and every member of their support team is a true "diamond"! Nothing is too much trouble and somehow they always pick up in seconds and a few seconds later are on your computer holding your hand, and calmly sorting whatever issue you have out. Highly recommended.
