Great place to test your skills or even for beginners to learn how to climb. Great trainers about the place as well as great food, drinks and plenty of chalk for those slippery posts! I had a great time. Haven't been climbing in years but it made me feel like a young man again

Started climbing 3 weeks ago. Absolutely love it! Everybody is really nice and friendly. The coffees are great and I've heard the food is great too.

While there are two gyms in York, this is the only one I go to. I've not checked out the other place so please note that my review is based only on going to one Gym in York for climbing. It is great. They're expanding. The staff are extremely friendly and lovely. The food is amazing (pizza - they do vegan and vegetarian pizzas, too! I really recommend coming here for pizza even if you don't climb). They have nice outdoor seating as well for sunny days for a pint and pizza (or a sweet treat like desserts). They climbing wall itself is pretty good. The route setters seem to enjoy what they do and you can tell from the routes itself. Currently it has a small training area but that will be expanding once the expansion works are complete. It's reasonably priced and you get a student discount too. Lots of free parking for bicycles and cars. Situated so centrally it's so easy to get to if you live centrally.
