The place is really cosy and well decorated, but overall I wasn't too impressed. First of all, the service was quite slow and messy - we had to wait quite a while to even have our orders taken, then it was another long wait for the bill; and it seemed like staff weren't sure which tables had been served in the first place... In terms of the menu, it was decent though I didn't get the whole tapas vibe of the place given the food choices; the prices were similar to London prices, which I didn't find elsewhere in York. My friend's steak was extremely undercooked and, in fact, this is the first time that nobody asked whether the steak should be well-done or medium rare... My lamb was nice but also on the slightly undercooked side. The salt & pepper fries were very disappointing. We did enjoy our wine choices and the respective price for a large 250 ml glass was pretty good. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place overall.
