Dough Eyed Detroit Pizza

Sadly this venue has now closed. The similarly named company in York is a totally different company and the food is very different. We weren't impressed with it. If the original dough eyed Detroit pizza owners are out there please reopen! Well worth a visit. Food is fantastic. It takes a while to be cooked, but once it arrives it's understandable why, give them a try you won't be disappointed. Drinks are also good, prices are good. Staff are excellent. Nice surroundings, the main restaurant reminds me of a German bier Keller, would be great to visit with friends and order pizzas to share with the group. The pizzas are filling. We ordered 2, one would have done to be honest. But the leftovers were boxed up and lovely the next day!

Ommgg. If you are after a pizza equivalent of dirty fries then Dough Eyed Detroit Pizza is the way to go! Super delicious and fun to try a different style of pizza to your normal Italian thin crust. Despite being cheesey and deliciously gooey the flavours are also top notch! Super good value for money as well, my husband and I got 2 full meals out of ours as we took the leftovers away! Plus delicious cocktails and super friendly staff, what's not to love?!

We were a bit dubious about coming in here on a Sunday evening as it was absolutely empty apart from one couple outside. But we had set our hearts on pizza, and didn't want to go to one of the big chains, so decided to give it a punt. Winner!! Amazing pizza, like nothing we've ever had before.
