We live in a group of 5 remote houses where the only access is via a disused railway bridge. Signs suddenly appeared on the bridge limiting vehicles to 10 Tonnes. We were due a delivery of concrete, we have had to cancel this. We were having concrete blocks delivered, now cancelled. 4 out of five homes have oil central heating (no gas), delivery tankers weigh more than 10 Tonnes. A fire engine weighs more than 10 Tonnes. Coal delivery..... on and on. Will they be strengthening the bridge, after all our homes were here before the railway. Where does responsibility lay to give us continued access?? No consultation, just an after the event letter addressed to the resident. Not good enough.
