Avoid. Trying to increase rents and profit from financial climate. I'm a landlord as well and find that they are being greedy. They will lose tenants and deserve to do so. Poor service.

Staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing , tell you different things and no communication. They are too relaxed and unprofessional. Will not be using this agency ever again

I had a great year with Adam Bennett, they were always very friendly and professional and made a stressful year much less stressful during lockdowns I always knew I would get a quick reply if I needed to ask them something. Thank you!

Brilliant student letting agent. We have worked with them for a few years and have always helped straight away with any issue. They ensure the letting process is easy and straightforward for landlords as well as students, would highly recommend to both!

We manage a small portfolio of student properties and had been using Adam Bennett for the last six years on a tenant find basis until November 2021. It was at this point that we experienced the most shocking and unprofessional service from the owner Adam. We had agreed with his office that we would like to conduct viewings for our properties (this was confirmed as acceptable from a member of his staff by email). It was also agreed by email that a group could not sign for a property without our approval (again confirmed by a staff member working for Adam Bennett). One property had five viewings that took place and every group who viewed the property wanted to sign for it. As I undertook the viewings that day I asked that prospective tenants wait until the evening for a decision as I wanted to give first refusal to the group who viewed the property first. Approximately 30 minutes after the last viewing took place we spoke to Adam Bennetts office and were shocked to learn that a group had already signed for the property without the company seeking our approval. This particular group of three students were accompanied by a parent, might I add that this was not agreed upon in advance and the parent accessed the property during the viewing without any explanation. My wife spoke to Adam (the director) to ask why this group had been allowed to sign for the property without contacting us first. Adam was aggressive on the phone to her and she was visibly shaken after Adam ended the call abruptly. Within a matter of minutes after the call was ended we could not access our account with Adam Bennett online. This resulted in us loosing access to all our existing tenancies without any prior warning or notification. I called Adam to discuss why he had restricted access to our account although it was apparent he was disgruntled because I had refused to sign the tenancy agreement that he had agreed with the tenants parent. Adam subsequently cancelled a tenancy agreement that had already been agreed upon for another property a few days earlier. Adam, was this a professional way to deal with your clients???. Subsequently we instructed another agency to market our properties that respect their clients and have excellent customer service. Landlords there are better agents in York to market your property...
