Fantastic teaching and a very friendly group. The venue is fitted out like a dance studio with mirrors along one wall, so is perfect for checking whether you're doing it right! Capoeira itself is an incredible martial art, and surprisingly accessible considering how athletic it looks. I started as a beginner in my late 40s, not particularly fit, and have got a huge amount out of it.

I began capoeira training back in 2018 and was welcomed with such warmth, I was unsure what to expect but this kind of interaction between myself, instructors and other members really made a lasting impression. As a beginner my abilities were well catered for and I was made to always feel as part of the group even if I made mistakes! As time went on I began developing on the skills and fundamentals, I was always pushed to be the best I could. Capoeira is a very unique martial art and is great for self defence, weight loss but as mentioned the group members really made it for me - I couldn't ask for a nicer, more enthusiastic bunch of people to train with! No matter how busy they are, I feel that there has always been a lot of thought and consideration put into the lessons. I've never seen or experienced any hint of impatience from the instructors which is also a huge difference for beginners. Top line is - I would 100% recommend this club, I bit the bullet and gave it a try a few years back and I'm so glad I did. My only regret is not going more often but university demands got in the way!
