Being an inexperienced early stage investor, I sought advice from Laura on an investment opportunity that had presented itself to me. She spent her time freely with me, seeking to understand the opportunity as well as my attitude towards the upsides and downsides that she saw. Her experience shone through as asked probing questions about me and the company I was thinking of investing in, leaving me with a number of areas that I needed clarity on before making any decisions. She really helped me to become more objective and rational in my assessment. As I result I felt much more prepared in follow up meetings with the company founder offering the opportunity.
