Ella has designed and project managed both my kitchen and bathroom. She listens to what you want and comes up with ideas and suggestions. Her attention to detail is second to none.I always think she goes the extra mile to make everything goes well. Her builders do a brilliant job. I could not be more pleased with the work she has done for me.

Found this very inspirational design studio on my visit to York, very different to the run of the mill design shops and a very knowledgeable lady in her field. Lots of good quality soft furnishings and great design ideas with some great art. If you ever visit York and you are looking for something different for your home well worth popping your head around the door.

Visited York for a few days and came across this shop and noticed it had some great items in the window etc. including a set of planters. Unfortunately it was shut at the time but I made sure I went on the day it was scheduled to open which was the day I was leaving York. I ended up buying two sets of planters, one for myself and one as a gift. The shop only had one set boxed but the owner quickly removed them to show my partner and quickly put them back as she had only just opened the shop and was getting a bit flustered. The other set was removed from the window display and that was wrapped in bubble wrap and both sets placed in carry bags, they had decent protection on them all. The next day I opened the unboxed set to find a chip in one of the planters which was very annoying but thought what can I do, the shop is miles away to take them back so reluctantly took it on the chin. The other set which was boxed I gave them to my mum and told her about the one I had which was chipped only to find when she removed the first planter that too was chipped, her face dropped as did mine as these where meant to have been checked, obviously they hadnt. I contacted the shop owner via email and she replied and I got the impression that she thought I was making it up as she said they were fine when she packed them and she said my partner seen them and they were ok. My partner was quickly shown the fronts of the boxed ones only, before they were repacked. The planters stayed in the packing and bags till the next day so the chips where definitely there when sold to us. I explained this to the shop owner in my second email but my email was totally ignored. Also the boxed ones had a horrible stain in each one of them. To treat tourists like this is very poor, unwittingly selling them damaged goods and when finding an issue the next day, not believing them and then also ignoring them. So my advice if you do decide to buy anything as she has some nice items, do make sure you thoroughly check the goods yourself before you leave the shop because once you have left you may have no recourse. Edit: After ignoring my second email, she only replied to one, she has now decided to reply to my 2nd due to this revue. She also states I contacted her two days later, it was actually the next day. Her shop opened Thursday, I bought that day and I contacted her the next day, explaining I didnt get back from York till late Thursday so checked them Friday the day after. Now shes being condescending by saying if I cant wash the stains out with soap and water she'll refund me 3.20 even though she states there was no stains and totally ignoring the damage.
