        I've been coming here for a number of years now, so can comfortably say this is the best Indian takeaway in York. Of note, they will tweak a dish to your personal preference - so for me I have the Bengal Taste madras hot - which is perfect. I always pick up on a Mon night & the staff are friendly too.

        We were from Pakistan and were looking for some traditional food and by luck we found "Alishan". The taste of afghani lamb is really nice and the best thing is it's very cheap compared to other traditional foods in York. Thanks

        Very underwhelmed. Apart from chips, everything cold. Poppadoms like rubber, chicken had texture of inside a tennis ball, bhajis so hard, couldnt bite them. 1st time I regret not using just eat...could have got my money back.
