Stayed for one night for wedding anniversary in the copper bath room great location and staff .Breakfast excellent and great coffee,had a slight issue which was dealt with promptly by David will be back next year many thanks Food & drinks: Take the breakfast option you won't be disappointed

Nearby activities: All activities near by. Walkability: Central location- 5 min walk to Shambles - 2 mins to York Minster. Food & drinks: Excellent menu and breakfasts lovely Noteworthy details: Nicely decorated rooms - central location - friendly staff.

We stayed here overnight. It is a family run, boutique hotel in the centre of York, which is completely do friendly. The location is fabulous, within 100 yards of the minster and the Shambles. We were welcomed by the owner who explained that they were undergoing work but that it should not impact on us, but please to be patient. It did not impact on us one bit. Considering the location and the style of the hotel, the rate was excellent value for money which include a breakfast which was also outstanding, using the best of local ingredients. It was clean and although it was a small double, it was fully functional with en-suite. There is no parking in the street, but we were offered discounted parking locally which is also good value, as York parking is quite expensive. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel and the family who run it. Brilliant. We will be back.
