Absolutely beautiful apartment, perfect for a short stay in york but wouldn't recommend for a longer stay. We were out all day/evening so only really used the bathroom and bedroom. Pros were ideal location, very comfy bed and very friendly/attentive staff. Cons were the shower was useless for washing hair, literally a dribble with no pressure, ended up washing my hair over the bath with a jug which wasn't ideal. Sofa ok for a short stay but not comfortable for lounging on. Apartment is designed for look and location, not for comfort.

The venue itself deserves a 5 star rating. However having stayed there twice, the first time we were kept awake from 12-4.30am from nightclub music on a Wednesday night. We were told it was "unusual" and there must be some event on with students, however it was the same on Thursday, and Friday. We rebooked for another business stay as we believed what staff said and again a noise problem from the nightclub. This is a regular occurrence and I would of preferred if they had been honest. They windows do not keep the sound out as you can hear party people talking on the public road. Even though the hotel says they are double or triple glazed.... On my third visit I opted for the Grand (no noise issues) and a member of my family stayed in their tanner row for one night only to be woken by a false fire alarm at 1am. Not having much luck there! They waited out on the cold street for 15 min with other guests and since no one came they came and woke us in our hotel to keep warm. Took a while for someone to arrive and no sight of a fire brigade. No apology was ever made to guests who didn't get back to their apt until close to 2.30am. Only a template email on check out to thank you for your stay and hope you enjoyed it. They appear to be detached from issues. The upside was no harm done except feeling run down and exhausted after 2 stayes and a 3rd time from not even staying there personally! Overall if you have hearing problems then this place will be ok on nights there is no nightclub running. Try to get an apt that isn't no13 or one that borders the 2 roads
