Had an appointment for 8:30, and by 10:30 I still hadn't been seen. I was already running behind for work, so I decided to leave. I informed reception that this is what I was doing, as I had places to be and people relying on me - to which they said it would go down as a 'no show' as I would be absent when the doctor is ready. Bit disappointing as I travelled from Pocklington to be there. I'm aware the NHS is on its knees,so won't mark it to 1 star.

So I get this text message 4 weeks after requesting to see a doctor: "Hi, this is Priory Medical Group following your recent contact. A clinician will review your details during the afternoon of 10.1.2023 It may be that your request can be dealt with without a face to face appointment, by phone or by text. If the clinician feels you would benefit from a face to face appointment, then you may be asked to attend on the day. If your symptoms worsen before then please contact us again or use NHS111. Priory Medical Group" I cancel my plans, stay at home and wait for a call.. and guess what I get? Nothing. No call and no communication at all.. Priory Medical Group is a shame.

I have been dealing with dizziness, black outs and chronic head pains for nearly a year, with my condition worsening. I have been enquiring since May 2022. Every time it is just a phone call appointment, during my last one they asked me to book again to be seen in person as I couldn't come in on the day due to another illness. I have put in two since and have not heard back, one on the 14/11/22 and the other 3/12/22. The wait time listed was five weeks and all i have received from them in all that time is a text message questionaire to asked if I had ever smoked. Radio silent otherwise. The people on the phone are always very nice, and the last one actually took me seriously. However, when I went to the surgery to ask why I hadn't heard back, the receptionist was very dismissive and accusatory and told me I could only book online, not actually answering my question.

Its increasingly difficult to get an appointment to see an actual doctor. Consequently people either dont bother or spend 5 weeks worrying and getting worse before they get a telephone call to be assessed. It just isnt good enough. A few years ago I would have given five stars but now it seems that seeing an actual doctor in good time is near impossible. This bit of the NHS is clearly broken. A shame.
