The cheapest railway company operating between the Northeast and London. That said, the tickets were still hefty. Train was cleaned before departure from Kings Cross but it was superficial (which I get) but it certainly hadnt had a good clean in some time. The tables were filthy and unhygienic. There was security on the train from York as it was bank holiday but the security girl was ineffective. Lots of drunks got on at York and they were pretty rowdy. People changes coaches and when she spoke to them, they cheeked her, before continuing to shout and swear. No point in putting on security if the person isnt willing to enforce anything.

I dont know what your head office is like but I doubt it is as cramped and unpleasant as your trains. When I got on I noticed that both disabled spaces were taken up with suitcases and when I got to my seat I realised why. I could not fit my neat flight case ( which meets airline standards for hand luggage) into the above seat shelf so had to cram it into the between seat space, already full. Just ahead of me someone elses small case is creeping across the carriage having escaped from the between seat space. If only I felt as free as that case. My fellow travellers have their luggage on their laps next to me and their feet taking up all the floor space - but then where else are they to put their feet? There is not enough room for four adults to sit comfortably. This is an unpleasant way to travel. But then I suppose I should be grateful, wheelchair users would not even be able to find a space to park their chairs.
